Despite showing up unannounced, the staff were incredibly welcoming. What struck me immediately was how genuinely friendly and attentive the service was. Our server checked in just enough without being intrusive, and the food arrived quickly. The menu offers great value for money, you can enjoy a proper meal and drinks without breaking the bank, which is refreshing these days. The food was well-prepared, flavourful, and clearly made with care. Everything arrived hot and perfectly cooked. It's the kind of place that feels unpretentious and welcoming, perfect for both planned dinners and spontaneous meet ups like ours. Katch delivers exactly what it promises: good food, fair prices, and a comfortable environment with service that genuinely cares about your experience. We'll definitely be back, probably with a reservation next time.

This is a review just on the takeaway fish and chips part of Katch. Will not be returning again as 3 times now the girls behind the counter have been rude. The last time was particularly bad when she literally rolled her eyes at me because my phone wouldn't connect to the card reader the first time. Also about a hundred dead insects on the windowsill..gross!

Came here with my dad, and got onion rings, two 'small' cod and chips and 2 drinks AND scraps all for 18 pounds. This is what the small portion is like, with a massive golden crispy and delicious fish, with very nice chips too. If you go anywhere like Redcar or Saltburn and order a small, you will get smaller fish and chips than this and it be more money! It was very delicious, only 6.50 for these cod and chips and I will definitely be returning!

Right in the middle of to town centre 15 of us had a meal. We pre ordered the food. Service was fantastic. The staff was always there if you needed anything. Very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was hot and delicious. Worth going
